I'm giving this watch three stars for now; I hope I can modify this as appropriate. I ordered two of this model on two separate days, as a contingency in case one was damaged or stolen in the mail. Both watches actually arrived the same day. However, I am concerned that the face on one watch has, as the photo indicated, the letters IWC and the word "Schaffhausen". On the second watch, the brand has been spelled "SchaffhausSen". See, it's the extra letter "S" that has me concerned. Could this be a fake? Or might my local delivery representative have pulled a switcheroo on me? I don't want to raise a red flag on authenticity at this point, lest I cause undo harm to a man's reputation. The second watch could, in all fairness, have been manufactured on Schaffhausen's notorious "Triple S Saturday", but that occurs only once annually during the winter solstice, and the serial number for the date of manufacturer doesn't correlate to that special event.

In the name of cautious factfinding, I will order a third watch today (Amazon claims there is only one more in stock, so I must make haste) and see what the resultant letter count is on it. I will post my results here. Pity I don't have a third arm to wear it! -- Careful ordering in pairs...

This watch was surely worth the money but I'm giving it 4 stars because it has one simple problem ..... It doesn't tell the time. -- It Only has one problem

Fantastic timepiece that is surprisingly heavy on my wrist. The only problem I have is that it doesn't look like it's worth $100000. I paid $88000 for mine and didn't buy it from Amazon, because of fear it might get lost in the mail. When I wear this watch I feel rich, but I want others to tremble in my presence and women to strip off their clothing and present their bodies tome. Unfortunately it does neither.

I was deciding between buying this watch or paying down my mortgage. I decided to get a home equity loan and add to my mortgage. It's ammortized over 35 years so I barely feel the payments. And if I do end up losing my house, wife, and car, i'll still have this beauty around my wrist.
For those who ask why one would pay so much for this watch, it's the same as buying a Hyundai vs. a Lamborghini. This looks better, performs better, and damn it, not everyone is driving one. The movements and mechanicals are in-house engineered. What else am I supposed to do with my money? This watch reminds me everyday that I am better than everyone else and that I need material possession to validate my existence, and not all that other hokey stuff like love, religions, children or charity.

God bless this country and all that it has given to me. I wish all of you reading this could get a CEO-like severance package like I did. Quitting never felt this good. You should buy this watch if you can afford it. What am I talking about, if you can afford it, you wouldnt be on amazon.com

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is, I prefer a shiny black face, this one is a dark gray. Also, they need to make a digital model with a light so it's easier to read at night. -- Well worth the money

I saw the price on this watch and had to have it. Where else can you save $31,894.01 except on Amazon. Sure, it cost me $72K and some change to save this amount but you've got to spend money to save money, right? Oh and forget about Viagra... Put this on your "special" wrist and all you need to do is glance at this watch during your daily duty and you'll be instantly at full attention. And because this watch is wound by motion, it's never found wanting. Thank you Amazon! -- SUCH A DEAL!

I've been using Casio G-Shock's for years before coming across this watch. I work construction laying tar all day so I needed a good solid watch to rely on. I just hope to get the 10+ years I got from my G-Shock. -- Opinion
